How many gates should we order with our fence?
Our clients choose SLEEKFENCE™ for many reasons, such as strength, durability, privacy, and aesthetic appeal. A SLEEKFENCE™ works excellently to contain pets, and children, it also keeps any unwanted intruders or pests out. We usually approach buying a new fence with the mindset of keeping unwanted pests and intruders out. Even though that is important, we must consider how many entrances we would like, where they should be, and what we will be bringing through them. In this article, we will address the topic of determining how many aluminum gates are necessary for your project. We hope we can provide some clear insights that help you decide how many gates you’ll need to purchase and what size they should be.

Lawn care gates:
If you are tending to your yard on both sides of the fence, then you must select a gate with an opening wide enough for your wheelbarrow or lawnmower to roll through easily.
If you have a giant ride-on lawnmower, you will want to go with a SLEEKFENCE™ 72″ gate so it can quickly drive right through. You’ll also want to pay attention to which way you’d like the gate to swing. Would you like the gate to swing inward or outward? These are all questions thousands of fence owners have neglected to ask themselves in the past and have come to regret. Our gates arrive preassembled and are put together with screws, so they are straightforward to take apart and resize if your job permits it. If you have a lawn care company responsible for maintaining your yard, we highly recommend you talk to them as well.
Leisure gates:
If your property is near a walking trail, then you’ll want to install a gate where it’s easiest to access that trail. This will save you from having to walk around the fence; our customers with kids or pets will be incredibly grateful for this suggestion. Also, be sure to think about adding double gates to your fence if you have an RV. Two 72″ SLEEKFENCE gates to accommodate an RV. Make sure to purchase cane bolts to secure your double gates.
Hinges and Latches:
This one is important; we have already addressed the swing direction above. We implore you to think about latches. We have a lockable pad latch and metal key lockable gate latch available on our web store. All of our SLEEKFENCE™ hinges are adjustable.
